We rely on our dedicated volunteers to make the Dragonslayer Walks successful.
Ages 12+ are welcome to volunteer with a volunteering adult/guardian.
A parent/guardian for volunteers under age 18 must sign the waiver on the registration form.

Volunteer Check-in | 6:30 - 9 a.m. | Check-in volunteers as they arrive, direct them to stations/leaders. | Good customer service early in the morning. |
Balloon Arch Construction | 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. | Hand pumping mylar balloons, placing additional décor on arch and tying balloons to structure. | Capable of using balloon hand pump. |
Signage Crew | 7:30 - 9 a.m. | Signage distribution and set up on walk route, parking lot access, and banners. | Walking and some ladder climbing. |
Registration | 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. | Set-up registration materials, organize t-shirts for distribution, check-in walkers, intake day-of registration forms, intake day-of donations, and distribute t-shirts. | Good customer service early in the morning. |
Tribute Tent | 8 - 9:30 a.m. | Set-up supplies, help participants create tribute signs, respectfully listen to personal stories, provide excellent and compassionate customer services. | Use of a staple gun. |
First Aid Tent | 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. | Set-up supplies, help any participants with first aid needs. | EMT, Nurse or MD/DO. |
Photo Booth Station | 8 - 9:30 a.m. | Set-up and organize props, encourage and assist participants to take photos and post to social media. Pack supplies away at end of event. | Knowledge of social media posting. |
Food Tent | 8 - 11:30 a.m. | Set-up coffee and food for distribution, replenish supplies as needed. Pack supplies away at end of event. | Wear food handlers gloves. |
Tear Down | 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Help pack supplies, pick up walk route and parking lot signs, take down banners, break down tents, tables, chairs and other supplies, load supplies into vehicle. | Some heavy lifting - up to 50 lbs. |
Greeters | 8 - 9:30 a.m. | Welcome walkers as they arrive, guide them to parking, and walkers check-in. | Good customer service early in the morning. |
